Teaching Civics to high school freshman in the 70s impressed Susan Murphy with the critical need for Constitutional literacy. She continued to work with students taking them to the USSR in 1973 where they experienced first hand the sharp contract between democracy and a communist state. These experiences gave her a deep commitment to making sure young Americans come to know and understand the foundations of our government.
Murphy went on to start her own political consulting firm running state and national campaigns in New England. Moving to Florida, she continued working in public relations and marketing in both techonology and real estate sectors. In 2008 she “retired” to work as a realtor specializing in luxury golf and waterfront communities.
In addition to her work with CCV, Murphy is a communicant at Holy Redeemer in Palm City and a member of the Miami Board of Realtors.
