A third-generation Floridian, Mike was born in West Palm Beach. He graduated from Palm Beach High School where he played football and was captain of the swim team. He entered the University of Florida on a swimming scholarship and graduated from the U. of Florida School of Business.
Following graduation, he spent five years as an officer in the United States Air Force, three of which he and his wife, Sally, spent in West Germany.
Mike has been active in Florida real estate for over forty years. After planning and permitting, Loblolly Bay, Mike and Sally moved to Stuart in 1981 with their two sons.
Mike is passionate about helping others and giving back to the community. He currently serves on the board of two local nonprofit organizations. In addition to the Center for Constitution Values, he is vice-president of the board of Love and Hope in Action (LAHIA).
Additionally, he was a member of the ad hoc committee that helped write the original Martin County Comprehensive Plan, a member of two local school advisory boards, chairman of the Martin County Code Enforcement Board, former vice president of the Martin County Economic Council, a founding director of Palm Beach Savings, a member of Fidelity Federal Bank’s Advisory Board and Director of Development of the Southeastern U.S. for the PACIFIC LEGAL FOUNDATION.
His hobbies include spending time with his three grandchildren, hunting, boating and fishing, which he has been involved with all of his life. He is also a private pilot.
