Charlene Lyons was born in Hawaii and raised in Twenty-Nine Palms, California as the oldest of five daughters of a United States Marine Corps Officer.
Charlene moved to Stuart in 1997 where she was immediately hired as a part time lifeguard at the YMCA of the Treasure Coast. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Capella University. Charlene received her SHRM-CP in 2015. In 2020, Charlene was named Interim President/CEO of the YMCA of the Treasure Coast.
As a volunteer, Charlene has served as the Treasurer and Vice President for the Junior League of Martin County and on the board of Treasure Coast AFP. She currently serves on the Advisory Council to the Sioux YMCA in South Dakota, the Martin Leadership Economics Day Committee, The Junior League of Martin County Advisory Committee, and the National Philanthropy Day Committee for AFP Treasure Coast. She is an avid runner and mother of two teenage daughters live in western Martin County.
